Chiropractic derives from the Latin word which when translated means ‘by hand’.
Chiropractors look at and evaluate whole body biomechanical changes. They treat patients' neuromusculoskeletal systems which includes nerves, bones, muscles, ligaments and tendons. The health concerns of patients are managed through spinal adjustments and manipulation as well as other clinical interventions as and when needed.
You will be asked to complete a medical history questionnaire prior to your initial appointment to allow the Chiropractor to have a greater understanding of your personal medical history. Following this your Chiropractor will complete an extensive assessment involving a variety of tests. You will then receive an individual treatment plan tailored to your needs as well as a report of the findings and subsequent advice on how to improve your pain.
This involves ongoing follow up progress questions and then treatment. Treatment may include advice and/or exercises where needed.
